Donating to Tri-City Volunteers

Feed a Family for the Summer!

Tri-City Volunteers would like to urge you to donate today to help keep a family fed through the Summer. For just a small donation of $200, you can help us keep a family of four fed for the entire Summer season. And with our client numbers having nearly doubled in the past two months, and our food supply dwindling, we need your help more than ever to make it happen.

Please consider helping out those less fortunate than yourself with a donation today. If you can't help financially, consider clearing out your pantry of those things you don't need and bringing them to us, or buying some extra food next time you're at the store. Your donation will help make sure that another Tri-City family has something to eat tonight.

There are lots of other ways you can donate as well. You can organize a food drive, form a Sandwich Squad, or donate your time and volunteer with us!

Your financial contributions

Tri-City Volunteers (Tax ID: 94-2217681) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that has been providing emergency food and other resources to local residents since 1970. We are the largest direct nonprofit food provider to low-income individuals and households in the area. This year we expect to distribute 4 million pounds of food to up to 13,000 mean, women and children.

To help us sustain our emergency community programs, you can make a secure, tax-deductible financial donation online by clicking on the donate button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can provide hope to families facing hunger by making a check payable to:

Other ways to make a gift

Workplace giving

Make regular financial contributions to Tri-City Volunteers through a payroll deduction program. This is one of the simplest and most cost-efficient ways to help us. Workplace giving permits you to work towards making a substantial annual gift to us through small contributions throughout the year.

If your workplace does not have an employee giving program, we encourage you to work with your HR department or workplace manager to help you and other employees contribute to our important social service programs.

Memorial and honor giving

In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial gift to Tri-City Volunteers to create a living legacy in honor of someone you love.

Maaco Makeover

Maaco Auto Body Shop and Collision Center in South Fremont, specializing in auto body repair and car painting, recently gave us a rare and very special gift.

Owner David Gutierrez noticed that our 15-year old pick-up truck had lost its sparkle. So, when David transformed our tired old white beast into a roaring red dream machine, we were thrilled. Thanks, David!

Thrift Store Merchandise
Tri-City Volunteers Thrift Store accepts all manner of good quality clothing, home furnishings, furniture and books. Home pick-up is available for furniture donations.

We keep our prices low for the benefit of low income shoppers and our referral clients receive your donated clothing and furniture at no cost at all.

Clothing is in high demand all through the year. Please remember us the next time you clean out the family closets.
Food Bank Groceries

Pictured at right is our Food Bank warehouse, just four weeks before Thanksgiving 2010. You can help us prevent empty shelves like these with regular food contributions throughout the year.

Each time you visit the supermarket, buy an extra can of soup or jar of peanut butter. Call into our Joseph Street, Fremont location with your donated groceries and find out just how much we appreciate your efforts. Your generosity will make a real difference in someone's life!
